Interfaces, automation and large language models are now a fixed part of these profiles, while Java is falling back. 74 of these employers ask for AI without having mentioned it in a single posting a year before.

Media and Publishing, 2026. Data and Product sits at CDX level 3, because competencies in interface integration and automation matter to steadily more employers, while Tableau and PHP decline. Processes such as delivery, automation and data accuracy are now at the core of these profiles.

Energy sector, 2026. Three of the six role families sit at CDX level 4 or higher by 2029, today only one does. Market-process roles are already at level 5. Between 2022 and 2024, 17 of their 30 most important requirements changed while the job titles stayed the same. After 24 months, a role profile still matches 64 percent.E

Pharma and biotech, 2026. Clinical development sits at CDX level 5, with 15 of its 30 most requested requirements replaced within two years while the job titles stayed the same. Trial management systems and data work are now at the core of these profiles. Six in ten clinical postings come from contract research organisations.
